JED Campus Timeline

Timeline and strategic plan

Fall 2019

Rhonda Lesley (Counseling Center Director) and Dr. Thomas Lane (former Dean of Students) with the support of Dr. Dee Siscoe (Vice President of Student Affairs) determined the JED Campus Program to be a benefit for the Missouri State University students.  A partnership between MSU and JED Campus Program began.

Spring 2020

A leadership team comprised of staff, faculty and students from across the campus was formed t begin the assessment and implementation of the four-year JED Campus program.  A student assessment called The Healthy Minds Study was completed across campus.

Summer 2020

A campus visit by JED Campus program liaison occurred.  The committee completed a campus-wide assessment of MSU’s current programming, systems and challenges.  

Fall 2020

Student survey data, student focus group sessions, and the campus assessment informed the development of a strategic plan for the campus.

Spring 2021

Sub-committees were formed to address and implement recommendations from the strategic plan and JED Campus liaison.

Fall 2021

Implement, continue to assess, and adjust the strategic plan in partnership with JED Campus team.

Spring 2022

Continuing work in subcommittees to implement recommendations.

Spring 2024

Missouri State University will host the Healthy Minds Survey again to determine if goals have been achieved.
